About our patients...
We work with children who are typically developing as well as children diagnosed with Autism/Asperger Syndrome, PDD-NOS, ADHD, sensory integration disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, and more.
We provide service to children, adolescents, and adults 12 months through adulthood who have developmental/intellectual/behavioral disabilities, and behavior challenges (typical developing or developmentally delayed)
We also work with individuals from 12 months through adulthood requiring skill training
Service Area
CCBS will serve your needs not only in our clinic or camp setting, but also in your home, school, or other preferred community location, if appropriate and within our service area. Our radius is approximately 17.5 miles (35 miles round trip) from our "home base" area; conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 526 and Hwy 17 / Savannah Hwy. in West Ashley.

Clinic
Our clinic at 1820 1st Drive in Charleston is conveniently located at the intersection of I-526 and Savannah Highway. Here we aim to provide a space for patients to engage socially with peers and practice their skills in a natural setting. We are also happy to provide this space for patients whose home location may be outside of our service area.

Funding Sources
ABA is mainly funded by private insurances (through Ryan’s Law): including but not limited to:

Families may access private funding sources as well including Walk for Autism and Carolina Children’s Charity funds.

We also will develop reasonable private pay contracts for those whose insurance does not cover ABA or who do not have insurance.

Amount billed: the amount charged by the health care provider or facility.

Coinsurance: a percentage of covered expenses you pay after you meet your deductible.

Copay: a flat fee you pay for certain covered services such as doctor visits or prescriptions.

Discount: the amount you save by using an in-network provider.

In-network provider: a group of health care professionals who offer discounts to you based on their relationship with your insurance provider.

Out-of-network provider: health care professionals that do not belong to your network, you may be able to use out-of-network providers, but you may pay more for the same services.

Out-of-pocket maximum: the highest amount of covered expenses that you will have to pay in one benefit period.

Patient responsibility: the portion of the billed amount that is your responsibility.
