RBT Training

We are very pleased to offer RBT training from the one of the creators of the RBT modules themselves. RBT training is a certification for Registered Behavior Technicians, line therapists on the job. It consists of 40 hours of powerpoint videos including information about the BACB requirements of RBTs, activities for practice, and videos for clarification.
FAQ:
1. What do we get out of this?
Soon we will not be hiring therapists who do not take advantage of this excellent opportunity. We are moving toward a community where only RBTs will be able to be therapists. You will also get a one-year, renewable, transferable national certification that you can put on your resume or use as a stepping stone to the next step...BCaBA!!

2. How long do I have to do it?
90 days from when you start.

3. What happens then?
You will be observed and interviewed by one of our consultants. We will determine if you meet RBT criteria. If you do not, you have the opportunity to test again. You will not necessarily lose your opportunity to be a therapist. Once you pass you will apply to the BACB and pay $30 and they will certify you.

4. Do I get paid for the 40 hours?
No. This course is going to be a $275-$500 course and all our therapists get it for free.

5. If I am a psychology intern through the college do I have to do it?
No, but you may. The 40 hours will not count toward your internship though.

6. How long is my RBT?
The certification is one year, and can easily be renewed annually, here or by another BCBA supervisor. New therapists will be required to stay a minimum of until their RBT expires (1 year). If you leave us to go to another ABA company you will be required to pay for the course out of your final paycheck here.

7. Do I have to do it all at once?
No, you may do it at your pace. The training is broken up into 6 modules: P, A, B, C, D, E, and F. They are further divided into P1 and P2, and then A1-5, B1-5, and so on. Then they are further divided into video clips between 2 and 10 minutes in length. You can pause at any time. We would really appreciate you doing as much as you can as quickly as you can. This benefits everyone.

8. How do I register with the BACB?
Go to www.bacb.com and set up an account to apply for RBT.

9. What will I be able to use this for if I do not continue in ABA?
This is a great opportunity for training for those going into child psychology, special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and related fields!

10. What do I need to do to maintain my certification?
You will have ongoing supervision from a nationally certified BCBA-D, BCBA, and/or BCaBA supervisor.

11. Can I reproduce, share, save, or record the RBT training online?
No. This information is protected. You may take notes but that is all.

12.  I feel very excited about this opportunity. Should I be?
YESSSSS!!! This is GREAT! You should all learn a lot and get this super awesome national certification.
